Ordner- und Daten-Organisation

Beitrag von NIWO » 9. Apr 2016, 02:50

Hallo Leute,

wie organisiert ihr eure 2D und 3D Werke?
Ordnerstruktur, Benennung, etc.

Hier sind meine Gedanken dazu.

Archive
Das Archiev dient zur Ablage der Projekt-Pakete.
------------------------------------------
BEGIN Archive
------------------------------------------
----Archive
--------[Year] <-- Archive everything you REALY need! NEVER work here! To render is OK!
------------/[Category] or [Month] or [Commissions]
----------------[Project-Packet]
------------------------------------------
END
------------------------------------------
[Project-Packet]-Structure
Bei dieser Struktur arbeitet man mit Projekt-Packeten.
------------------------------------------
BEGIN Project-Packet-Structure
------------------------------------------
------------/[JJJJMMDD]_[Topic]_[Description] <-- Folder if needed for linking or reference data! Should have the same name like MASTER-file!
----------------/final
--------------------[JJJJMMDD]_[Topic]_[Description]_[Note].[Format] <-- Render in HRes!
----------------/maps
----------------/previews
--------------------[JJJJMMDD]_[Topic]_[Description]_[Version:v##]_[Notes].[Format] <-- Preview render in LRes!
----------------/raw <-- Raw data has not been subjected to processing or any other manipulation, and are also referred to as primary data! Raw Data can be footage or HRes renders.
----------------/references
----------------/textures
----------------[JJJJMMDD]_[Topic]_[Description]_[Version:v##]_[Notes].[Format] <-- MASTER-file!
------------------------------------------
END
------------------------------------------
_[Version:v##]_[Notes]

[Project-Packet]-Example
------------------------------------------
BEGIN Project-Packet-Example
------------------------------------------
----------------/20150213_study_smiling_girl <-- Folder with references, process and final renders!
--------------------/final
-----------------------20150213_study_smiling_girl_HRes.png <-- For Portfolio (Homepage, Artstation)!
-----------------------20150213_study_smiling_girl_HRes_nameofweb.png <-- For Portfolio with recomended/restricted resolution!
-----------------------20150213_study_smiling_girl_LRes.jpg <-- For Web (instagram, facebook, g+, twitter, etc.)!
-----------------------20150213_study_smiling_girl_LRes_nameofweb.jpg <-- For Web with recomended/restricted resolution!
--------------------/previews <-- Always good to have! People love to see the process.
-----------------------20150211_study_smiling_girl_v01_rough_sketch.jpg
-----------------------20150211_study_smiling_girl_v04_outlines.jpg
-----------------------20150212_study_smiling_girl_v07_color_mood.jpg
--------------------/references
-----------------------smiling_lips.jpg
-----------------------kiss_shape.jpg
--------------------20150213_study_smiling_girl.psd <-- MASTER-file which came from WIP!
------------------------------------------
END
------------------------------------------
[Category]
daily_sketches, speed_sculptings, creatures, characters, fanart, mattepaintings, s
ketches, etc.

Overview
------------------------------------------
2D oder 3D oder 2D/3D <-- 2D and 3D are possible if projects have small data volume! Bigger projects like short movies need there own project folder.
------------------------------------------

----Archive <-- Archive!
--------2015 <-- Here is a example of a naming and organizing.
------------/[Category] or [Month] or [Commissions]
----------------[Project-Packet]
-------------...

--------2016
------------/02_FEB
----------------[Project-Packet]
-------------...

----Portfolio <-- Throw HRes render in here!
--------/Sketches <-- [Category]
------------20150213_study_smiling_girl_HRes.jpg
------------...
--------...

----Published <-- This folder will help to keep track of what is published on the internet!
--------20150213_study_smiling_girl_LRes.jpg
--------20150213_study_smiling_girl_LRes_nameofweb.jpg
--------...

----WIP Commissions <-- Work In Progress!
--------/cancelled <-- Of course, every cancelled Projekt can be continued.
--------/old <-- Throw all versions in here which are abundant, to keep WIP folder clean!
------------20160213_[Topic]_[Description]_[Version:v##]_[Notes].[Format] <-- DELETE after finishing your work!
--------[Project-Packet]

----WIP Personal
--------/cancelled
--------/old
--------[Project-Packet]
